A highlight of every dessert table these tart, chewy, crunchy, and always fresh treats are an amazing palette cleanser being able to clear through the rich meal (or, let’s face it all the Filipino party food) you’ve no doubt spend the last few hours over indulging in.

Ingredients
2 ¼CupsAll-Purpose Flour
2SticksButter
½CupPowdered Sugar
4Eggs
⅓CupLemon JuiceFresh Squeezed
½tspBaking Powder
2CupsGranulated Sugar
Instructions
Crust
Preheat oven to 350 degrees
butter a 13" x 9" x 2" baking pan
Sift together 2 cups flour and powdered sugar
Cut in the butter until you get pea-sized clumps
Press into bottom of baking pan
Bake for 20 minutes until lightly browned
Set aside to cool
Filling
Beat together eggs, granulated sugar, and lemon juice
In a separate bowl, sift together remaining 1/4 cup flour and baking powder
Stir the dry mixture into the egg mixture thoroughly
Pour over baked crust
Bake 25 minutes
Sprinkle with powdered sugar
Allow to cool completely and cut into 1 inch servings
